Summer is Coming!

Summer vacation is finally coming! I am sooooo excited! I have a lot of plans for the season including finishing up some WIPs and spending lots of time with my family. I need to post some photos because I really have been keeping busy these last several months. I managed to finish a small hooking project and bind a bigger one. I have done several scrapbook pages and even deep cleaned my craft room.

Next weekend we are participating in a neighborhood rummage. I am hoping to sell a ton of craft things I no longer use or want. I have come to realize that as much as I enjoy looking at stamped and papercrafted items, I don't really like to make them. So, I am clearing out a HUGE amount of stamps and other supplies. I'll be honest, it feels really good on one hand because I no longer feel quite so overwhelmed with stuff. On the other hand I have that whole "But I paid so much for this!" feeling. I think once the stuff is gone, it will take that feeling with it.

I will be back with photos...one day soon...I hope!

Snow Day...again!

Ok, we had a snow/cold day today. Yea! It is always nice to get an unexpected day off. Tomorrow? Home, again! This cold is killing us! All I was able to accomplish today was to lay on the couch. I need to get my butt in gear and start getting some stuff done. Now, knowing I don't have to work for the next three days (including the weekend) I should be able to accomplish plenty. The reality is as much as I would like to be an early morning person, I get much more accomplished late at night. So, I am going to use that to my advantage and stay up late tonight. Hopefully, tomorrow I will have some pictures to blog with some finished projects, crafty or organizational. So, stay warm, Wisconsin!!

New Challenge

I just joined another new challenge! This one is for my "soft" crafts like quilting, knitting, cross stitch, hooking, and needlepunch. The goal is to finish one WISP (Work In Slow Progress) each month all year. I have choosen three to work on this month:
1. a needlepunch called Mr. Snow
2. binding my Tic Tac Crow rug
3. a wool applique
All of these have been lurking in my room for awhile and now it is time to finish them up. I will be back to add a link to the One Project a Month challenge. I am really excited about this one...I think it will keep me on track with my crafting goals for this year!

Photo 365

OK, I am sure many of you have heard about the project Photo 365. The goal is to take a picture each day all year. At the end of the year, you should have photos that represent your everyday life. I decided to give this a try. I have joined a group at SCS and we are going to encourage each other. My goal is to not flake out on this over the course of the year. I think I am going to be writing myself A LOT of reminders!! So, today my goal is to upload my first 4 images for this year. Hopefully it will work! It will be interesting to see this at the end of the year...to see what my everyday life looks like. For you, I really hope this won't be toooooo boring! My photos are in backwards. The first one is my Bernina that I put up for sale on Craig's List today, just $900 if you're interested! The second is Libbie helping to paint her bathroom. We are painting over the "little girl" butterflies and putting just white on the walls. We got a brightly colored shower curtain, rugs, etc to give it the POP the princess likes. The third picture shows a set of cards I cased from SCS. I can't find the original so I am not sure who to say thank you to. And the fourth picture is the new flat screen LCD Steve bought with his Christmas money. I admit, I really like it too! OK, so there are my first four days of 2009! Check back for more!!
